Who are these people?

We are cousins who created a book and a blog.

I’m Lynne, author of the book, A Quick Read which is a memoir and collection of stories mostly from my life; and I’m also primary writer of the Old So What blog.

I have been writing, editing and proofreading promotional materials for over 50 years.  Some of my work was done to coordinate with, and complement, the graphic design and photography of my late husband, Ed Bonner.

I am the senior member in age of this cousin team.

Acting as an assistant to a photographer, Ed, I have been part of several presidential campaigns including:  Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and Bob Dole.  It was my privilege to interact in a limited way with these candidates and occasionally their spouses.

I believe that writing is a journey from the writer’s mind and heart to that of the reader, with the only pay toll along the way being truth.

I am Melissa, the younger member of this team.  I did the tech work on, and co-edited, the book, A Quick Read and I do the tech work and some writing for the blog, Old So What.  I am a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology.  My day job is Senior Tax Analyst for Non-Income Taxes.

Lynne and I are years apart in age but entirely together in style, spirit, and outlook.

My cousin is impatient.  She would like you to join our blog now.  I am patient.  I know that once you sign on, you’ll enjoy yourself and want to come back.

I try not to say: “That can’t be done to my cousin”.  I don’t like to stifle her imagination with too much reality.  I like to figure out how it can be done.
