No, and it’s not easy being old either. People volunteer to help you when you don’t require the help. But, when you could use some assistance, as with moving heavy garbage cans, they are no longer in sight or earshot, or anything else. Usually, the people in my neighborhood are just trying to do the right thing, be kind and helpful. I think that they hope that when they are old, someone will help them. And if they live in my neighborhood, maybe they will!
